We are a family-run practice with 4 dentists in residence - Husband and wife team Andrew and Juliet, and their son Tristan and fellow dentist Adam. Receptionists Jackie and Kate, along with nurses Emma, Bev, Naomi, Becca and Katie are on hand to make your visit to us an efficient, stress-free one.
Andrew Marshall

Qualified from Bristol University in 1983 and bought a small practice in the centre of Duffield in 1984.
He quickly built the practice from 2 mornings a week to full time .
In 1993, together with wife, Juliet, he bought the present premises and converted it from a restaurant to a modern dental practice.
Andrew‘s expertise, sense of humour and ability to put the most nervous patients at ease are legendary.
Andrew’s role is now mostly in an advisory capacity as he heads towards retirement.
Juliet Marshall

Juliet studied at Edinburgh university, qualifying in 1986.
Following 2 associateships in Ashbourne and Matlock she joined Andrew as partner at Duffield Dental Practice in 1993.
In addition to general dentistry her interests lie in periodontology and smile enhancement.
Away from work Juliet enjoys spending time with family and friends and riding her horse .
Tristan Marshall

Tristan qualified from Newcastle University in 2015. He completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Dental Implantology in 20020 and a Postgraduate Diploma in Orthodontics in 2022. He is currently enrolled at the University of Dundee, reading for an LLM in Healthcare Law and Ethics.
He has a keen interest in Dental Economics, and as a result of trying to make treatments more affordable, we are able to offer Aligners and Implants at increasingly accessible price points. This is facilitated by on-site Surgical Guide and Aligner Manufacturing.
Tristan’s special interest is in Endodontics by Microscopy, utilising gold standard techniques and the option of Small-FOV CBCT in complex cases.
Retreats, Hemi sections, Root Amputations and Apicectomies are also undertaken, as well as Fixed Prosthetics and Implant placement.
Being born and raised in Duffield, he continues to work here.
Adam Steventon

Adam qualified from Birmingham University with honours and distinction in 2011.
He completed a MSc in Restorative Dentistry with distinction in 2019 also in Birmingham, and has passed the MFDS examinations of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
His interests are Dental Implants, Dentures, Crowns/Bridges and Restoration of Wear with Composite.
He also undertakes Smile Make-overs, Full Mouth Rehabs and Aesthetic Composite work.
Originally from the Staffordshire Moorlands, he has settled in Belper with his family and intend to remain local.
Bev
DENTAL NURSE

Bev is a highly valued member of the team. She is now semi-retired, having been with us since 1997. Her career in Dental Nursing stretches back to the 1980's and her nursing experience is unsurpassable.
She notes that there have been many changes since the 1980’s compared to the Hi-Tech aspects of today’s dentistry, and this is why she still finds the job very interesting and fulfilling.
Bev’s easy-going nature and love of meeting & conversing with people from all backgrounds ensures she is a firm favourite will both patients and staff alike.
Outside of work, she enjoys living in the countryside and particularly, making special memories with her three Grandchildren!
Emma
HEAD DENTAL NURSE

Emma has been a qualified Dental Nurse since 2011 and we were lucky when she chose to join us in September 2021
She takes responsibility for many aspects of compliance and quality assurance at the practice.
Emma enjoys assisting with more specialist treatments such as Endodontics and Implant Surgery alongside General Dentistry.
A keen animal lover, she lives in Belper with her husband, son and pet dog.
Naomi
DENTAL NURSE

Naomi joined the practice in July 2018 and qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2022, having trained during the Covid era, which was extremely challenging.
She is keen to progress and is now studying for her Radiography qualification. At which she is doing very well.
Naomi loves to travel, cycle and importantly spend time with her son.
In between times she adores baking, which is lucky for us, as she is a superb baker! And, she makes a great cup of tea!
Becca
Trainee DENTAL NURSE

Becca joined the practice in February 2022, previously working as a veterinary nurse. She has picked-up Dental Nursing very quickly and is now studying for her Dental Assistant qualification.
Becca’s bubbly personality brightens up the day!
She is Mum to her three children and lives with her husband, children, 2 dogs, and 5 rabbits! (It used to be 21 rabbits!!).
Becca just loves all things Disney!
Katie
Trainee DENTAL NURSE

Katie joined the practice in 2021 and is studying for her Dental Nursing qualification.
When she is not assisting chair-side, she is working industriously in our in-house Lab producing Clear Aligners.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her children.
She is also very keen on Arts & Crafts, at which she is supremely talented!
Jackie
RECEPTIONIST
Jackie has been a receptionist with the practice since 1997 and together with Bev is one of the practice’s stalwarts!
She is always very sympathetic to patients needs and is keen to help in any way she can. Jackie is a reliable member of the team and her friendly, familiar face greets patients warmly.
Many patients confess that they love their 6 monthly attendances just to get the chance for a chat with her!
In her spare time Jackie enjoys spending time with her family and walking her dog. In particular, she adores supporting her granddaughter at Equestrian competitions.
Kate
RECEPTIONIST
Kate joined us in February 2022 after working as a Receptionist at a GP Practice and Veterinary Practice.
Kate is friendly, capable and approachable. She deals efficiently with all the tasks that she is presented with and is a very enthusiastic member of the team.
She lives in Holbrook with her husband and three dogs.
Her passions include walking in the Derbyshire countryside and Cooking.
