We are a family-run practice with 4 dentists in residence - Husband and wife team Andrew and Juliet, their son Tristan, and fellow dentist Adam. Receptionist Kate (Assistant Practice Manager), Head Nurse Emma (Assistant Practice Manager), Bev, Natalie, and Georgie, along with Suki and Katie, Dental Lab Technicians, are on hand to make your visit to us efficient and stress-free.

Andrew Marshall

Qualified from Bristol University in 1983 and bought a small practice in the centre of Duffield in 1984.
He quickly built the practice from 2 mornings a week to full time .
In 1993, together with wife, Juliet, he bought the present premises and converted it from a restaurant to a modern dental practice.
Andrew‘s expertise, sense of humour and ability to put the most nervous patients at ease are legendary.
Andrew’s role is now mostly in an advisory capacity as he heads towards retirement.
Juliet Marshall

Juliet studied at Edinburgh university, qualifying in 1986.
Following 2 associateships in Ashbourne and Matlock she joined Andrew as partner at Duffield Dental Practice in 1993.
In addition to general dentistry her interests lie in periodontology and smile enhancement.
Away from work Juliet enjoys spending time with family and friends and riding her horse .
Tristan Marshall

Tristan qualified from Newcastle University in 2015. He completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Dental Implantology in 20020 and a Postgraduate Diploma in Orthodontics in 2022. In 2025 Tristan gained a Masters degree in Healthcare Law & Ethics with merit from the University of Dundee.
He has a keen interest in Dental Economics, and as a result of trying to make treatments more affordable, we can offer Aligners and Implants at increasingly accessible price points. This is facilitated by on-site Surgical Guide and Aligner Manufacturing.
Tristan’s special interest is in Endodontics by Microscopy, utilising gold standard techniques and the option of Small-FOV CBCT in complex cases.
Retreats, Hemi sections, Root Amputations and Apicectomies are also undertaken, as well as Fixed Prosthetics and Implant placement.
Being born and raised in Duffield, he continues to work here.
Adam Steventon

Adam qualified from Birmingham University with honours and distinction in 2011.
He completed a MSc in Restorative Dentistry with distinction in 2019 also in Birmingham, and has passed the MFDS examinations of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
His interests are Dental Implants, Dentures, Crowns/Bridges and Restoration of Wear with Composite.
He also undertakes Smile Make-overs, Full Mouth Rehabs and Aesthetic Composite work.
Originally from the Staffordshire Moorlands, he has settled in Belper with his family and intends to remain local.
Emma
HEAD DENTAL NURSE & ASSISTANT PRACTICE MANAGER

Emma has been a qualified Dental Nurse since 2011 and we were lucky when she chose to join us in September 2021
She takes responsibility for many aspects of compliance and quality assurance at the practice.
Emma enjoys assisting with more specialist treatments such as Endodontics and Implant Surgery alongside General Dentistry.
A keen animal lover, she lives in Belper with her husband, son and pet dog.
Bev
DENTAL NURSE

Bev is a highly valued member of the team. She is now semi-retired, having been with us since 1997. Her career in Dental Nursing stretches back to the 1980's and her nursing experience is unsurpassable.
She notes that there have been many changes since the 1980’s compared to the Hi-Tech aspects of today’s dentistry, and this is why she still finds the job very interesting and fulfilling.
Bev’s easy-going nature and love of meeting & conversing with people from all backgrounds ensures she is a firm favourite with both patients and staff alike.
Outside of work, she enjoys living in the countryside and particularly, making special memories with her three Grandchildren!
Natalie
DENTAL NURSE

Natalie trained as a Dental Nurse with us back in 2015. She took a career break to look after her family, but luckily for us, rejoined the practice in 2024.
Ever popular with Patients and Staff alike, her caring approach and bubbly personality bring joy to the working day.
Oh, Natalie makes a mean Lemon Drizzle Cake too!.
Georgina
TRAINEE DENTAL NURSE

Georgie joined the practice in January 2025. After mastering the art of reception work, she has progressed to training towards her Dental Nursing qualification
Georgie is highly efficient and always smiling - nothing is too much trouble.
She is a valued member of the team.
Suki
DENTAL LAB TECHNICIAN
Suki joined the team in July 2024 and has been the quickest yet to pick up the art of Dental Nursing!
She is calm, efficient, and a pleasure to work with.
Katie
DENTAL LAB TECHNICIAN
Katie joined the practice in 2021 and works industriously in our in-house Lab producing Clear Aligners.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her children.
She is also very keen on Arts & Crafts, at which she is supremely talented!
Kate
HEAD RECEPTIONIST & ASSISTANT PRACTICE MANAGER
Kate joined us in February 2022 after working as a Receptionist at a GP Practice and Veterinary Practice.
Kate is friendly, capable and approachable. She deals efficiently with all the tasks that she is presented with and is a very enthusiastic member of the team.
She lives nearby in Holbrook.
Her passions include walking in the Derbyshire countryside and Cooking.
